We are growing disciples of Jesus Christ through the teaching of God's Word and the demonstration of God's love.

Nursery

Nurture Them Up

Children are always welcome in our worship service or in the cry room at the back of the sanctuary.

For parents who  choose to take advantage of it, nursery care provides a safe place for kids aged infant through Pre-K.

Our loving nursery caregiver will ensure they have fun together during  the 10:30am service.

This room is great to learn about Jesus' love from the start.

Kids

Raise Them Up

 Kids. Jesus. Love.

Always. Train up. Model.

Meet on Sundays | Room 201 | 9am

The Children's Ministry time involves active challenges, storytelling, and play with carefully  crafted questions to help kids tie scriptural truth into their own  lives.

Kids need to know Jesus.  They need to know who He was, What He did, and What He means to us today.

A child’s relationship with Jesus is the #1 predictor of their long-term commitment to their faith.

Skeptics will say that proclaiming Jesus as the son of God is going too far.

Kids need to know that the Bible provides EVIDENCE to the contrary. They need to know what the bible says, what the prophets and eyewitnesses said, what the miracles tell us, and what Jesus said about himself.

If Kids are given access to the TRUTH revealed in the Bible, they will have the confidence to respond to any critic.

If kids do not know in their hearts that Jesus is the son of God, they will listen to critics, they will bend to peer pressure, and they will doubt the core of their faith.

As teachers for Jesus, we will fill in the gaps and solidify kids’ knowledge of Jesus. We will continue to pray for God’s strength and guidance for the children and us.

In all the Facts about Jesus lessons,  we lay out the truth about our amazing Savior.

Lesson1:   What Did the Prophet Say About Jesus

Lesson 2:  What did Jesus Say About Himself?

Lesson 3:  What the Early Believers Said About Jesus

Child / Youth Safety Practices

Statement of Commitment to the safety and well-being of children/youth and their protection from harm:

SCC has a God-given responsibility to nurture and protect His people, especially those who are most vulnerable and in need of protection. Thus, caring for our children and youth is a sacred trust. We follow the example of Jesus and believe that children and youth are gifts from God and should be highly valued and given every opportunity to flourish in their growth (Matthew 19:14).

How do we protect children and youth?

  • SECURE CHECK IN AND CHECKOUT PROCEDURE
  • TWO PERSON RULE—There are two staff/volunteers with our children and youth.
  • CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECKS FOR ALL STAFF/VOLUNTEERS
  • CHILD SAFETY TRAINING— We utilize Ministry Safe Training for all staff/volunteers with refresher course every two years.
  • STRICT REPORTING PROCEDURE— If you see something not right or concerning, say something. Report concerns to two people as well as police/CPS.

Contact the office to see the policy.
